Mr. & Mrs. Harry & Retha Tibbals

Mr. Tibbals, a native of Overton, Texas, had been employed for twenty years by a well-known super market chain.  He started with the company as a sack clerk for several years before moving to Wylie. He lived in Shreveport where he was operations manager of East Texas and Louisiana for the chain.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Tibbals were active in civic and church work.  They were and still are members of the First Baptist Church in Wylie.  In 1961 seven were employed at the Wylie Super Market.  In 1969 after the first enlargement employees numbered fourteen.

Bill J. Davis, brother of Mrs. Tibbals, joined the organization as a store manager in August 1965.  He resided on Hilltop Street with his wife, Jean, who was a fifth grade teacher.
