Counselor
Mrs. Kerie Padilla
Hello Tigers!!
My name is Kerie Padilla, and I have been in education since 2008. I grew up nearby in Plano, Texas and graduated from Plano East Senior High School. I am married to my husband Oscar, and we have two wonderful boys named Jake and Tyler. We also have a chihuahua named Lucy. When I'm not at work, I love to spend time with my family. We like to play games together, go out to eat, and be outdoors. I also love to do all kinds of puzzles: jigsaw, logic, word, etc.
As counselor, I work with all staff and students. I deliver classroom guidance lessons to grades K-4, as well as conduct groups and individual check-ins with students. Topics include conflict resolution, making and keeping friends, growth mindset, self-concept, grit, setting goals, teamwork, managing strong feelings, making good choices, and life changes (such as divorce, loss of a loved one, etc.).
